Recently, ten friends gathered for an ideation. These are times to discuss heart issues and kingdom concepts that have been brewing in our lives.
The purpose was not to create answers. I don't want to suggest we have answers for you about where and what you need.
I wanted to offer you our summaries to consider as the beginning of discussions. I premise that each of us has the answers needed, but often, we lack the right questions to bring those answers to the surface. I desire that these summaries will spur conversations that open the door to great questions that lead to answers. It's a new day, and we must step in with fresh revelation from the Father.
SESSION ONE
The meeting focused on the transition of the church, drawing parallels to historical figures like Daniel Boone and Lewis and Clark. (More on this in a future post)
Key discussions included…
The need for intimacy and connection within the church.
The impact of cultural shifts and the challenges of engaging younger generations.
The idea of becoming "burnable" by fostering small, intimate communities that allow for spontaneous and creative expressions of faith.
We shared experiences of miraculous events.
We emphasized the importance of following the Holy Spirit's guidance over rigid structures.
The session concluded with a call for flexibility and openness to divine direction.
Action Items
[ ] Explore ways to create more intimate, relational communities open to both believers and non-believers.
[ ] Become more comfortable with the uncomfortable and be willing to take risks and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
[ ] Discuss and discern strategies for equipping and empowering leaders to facilitate these new types of communities.
These are very open concepts that I pray may be a light on your path to fulfilling all the Father has for you. Use these as you desire to stimulate conversations.
Please feel free to share this post with others you know who are seeking all the more and nonetheless. Consider gathering together with a small group to use these as a springboard.
